Guage cluster lights dont turn on?

okay so i bought my car with the cluster guage lights not working didnt think it would be a problem. I bought a entire new gauge cluster with new light blubs and everything but that didnt fix my problem. I just need my lights to work so i can see how fast im going at night!! So if anyone knows how i can fix this please let me know. and if you could please tell me step by step on how to fix it. I was thinking maybe it could be the dimmer switch. please help!!

Check your bulbs and dimmer switch before making a thread like this..

Check your fuses as well.MOST likely its something simple that you did not check.. Goodluck!

But the gauges work? Just no illumination?

yeah they just wont light up

May not be the same with u..I was doing some modding with leds..If all the lights were not connected, my gauges worked, and only a few lights, like door open, od, battery a bunch of the little ones worked..

But the ones that lit the gauges did not work.

If you have checked all the fuses as you have stated, the only thing that comes to my mind is the dimmer switch, if you said that you all ready checked that, it means you just checked it of tested?.

If you just checked it, then test it, see if there is current going to the dimmer switch when you turn the lights on, if there is, then check to see if the switch releases the current to the cluster, if there is current, then you have a bad connection at the cluster or have a bad wire, Now if there is no current going out of the dimmer switch, then your switch is not working (replace it),.

Do that test and report back the results and we go from there.
