Hi,
I`m now trying to choose a new turbo for my car, and i think these three turbos would be the best choice for me.

I`m upgrading from a gt3076r with a t31 housing, which gave me way to much backpressure and i only got around 360whp.

I am going to use the car on the track, timeattack\racing etc. Might do a little dragracing aswell. My hp goal for now i would guess is around 600bhp.

What would be the difference between these turbos?
Would the gtx3582 be very laggy for racing?
What is the difference between the gtx3076 and the gtx3576? i would think the gtx3576 would reach a higher hp, but on the Garrett site they say the gtx3076 can reach 40 more hp than the gtx3576.

Does anyone have any insight to these turbos, especially in regards to the 4G63 engine?

Thank you

What do you mean? Flange port? It`s a T3. I`ve also made a DSM profile now with all my mods ect.

I was running 26psi. But my boost controller snapped shut once and the turbo had no problem making 38+psi.
Try to up the boost, what justin means is what size turbo or "footprint" not flange port. Is your car setup for. Like mod list? If your car is setup for a stock frame turbo and you have a 30r youll have issues getting good power. Same if your car is setup for a 30r and you put on a 35r, your parts need to conpliment the power your turbo is capable of, which ever turbo it may be.

Ah i see. Well my car should be set up for a big turbo. 3in IC piping, 75mm TB, 3in echaust. ported head. bc cams.

All my mods are in my DSM Profile now.

Do you think maby some of my mods are overkill and are actually hurting the performance?

Thanks

Turbo footprint is inlet flange size, which for you is T3. Nothing in your mod list is really holding you back besides your injectors and maybe turbine housing. I would up the boost, new injectors/turbine housing and find a better tuner if your not happy with the current one.

As for your 600+hp goal, I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to reach that number. Buschur did it, but he was running a newer fp 3076hta with a 2.3l at 40psi. I think you'd better off running a larger turbo so you dont have to max it out and prematurely increase thrust wear.

Based on your horsepower target, you should probably go with a gt35r. You could upgrade the turbine housing on you gt3076r and get closer to what garrett rates them at which is 580 hp. There the turbine housing options are .63, .82, and 1.06 in t3 form. The 1.06 is huge, I built a turbo for a guy with a 2.4 evo where we used a T67 compressor wheel 66.6 x 84mm with a gt35r turbine 62.35 x 68mm and the 1.06 turbine housing.

It worked out great, The guy maxed it out at 926 hp at 40 psi, At which the turbo failed, But that is practical because that gt35r ball bearing cage was never designed to make more than 700 hp.

However, There is a shaft approx 66mm x 70 ball bearing turbine that fits in the gt35r now, which would have slowed down the shaft speeds which would have helped that turbo make more power with less stress.

dont remember where I saw it, but I saw a post claiming the gtx3576 spools faster and makes more power than the gtx3076. there was a back to back no other changes comparison done. he claimed the 30 turbine was just too small for that new GTX76 compressor.

Alright thanks guys.
Am i right to assume that a lower a\r basically just shifts the whole power curve lower in the rpm range? So with a smaller a\r i would get power earlier in the rpm range but the power will decrease higher up in rpm?
