i am torn to get an eclipse or talon or laser? I have a budget of about 2-3k woudl i be better off getting one or the other?

There all pretty much the same except for minor body differences. But they thing that is most appealing is that the eclipse has a higher re-sale value then the TSI or the RS-T, but i love rears on the 1gb talons. Good luck

With a budget of 2-3k i would say get a talon. It's goin to be cheaper than an eclipse in most cases so you might have some money left over to fix anything of mod it and you get better looks than a laser (and an eclipse in my opinion). My advice is just to look around here in the classifieds and on ebay and other such places and just check out what's available and then make an informed decision.

Very funny. But we both know that only 2gb eclipses look better than talons. The 1g talons are much better looking and since that is what he seems to be considering buying... .

Anyway all you are really gonna get on this thread is opinions. So your just gonna have to make your own decision.

and its a decision totally on your preferences. looks wise, i think the 1gb talons aren't that great, but the lasers never got me. eclipses you can never go wrong with looks wise, but 1ga talons are sweet. i like mine

Theres a nice 2g TSI for sale here in Iowa. It has a big ol' FMIC and a eclipse front, not sure how much hes asking tho

Why do people gotta knock the Laser? Seriously though, you'll probably be able to find a Laser cheaper than an Eclipse or Talon as SOME people think the other 2 are more prestigious, or better looking.

They are all the same car. Get whichever falls within your budget and is worth it's price tag.

I personally think the Laser RS-T looks much better than the eclipse or Talon. Take a look at Greg's. I think it has a great looking stance and given the choice, I would consider selling mine for a 90-91 Laser RS-T. (Of course needs new rims and low profile spoiler to finish the look) In fact, I think I see calcifier's Laser occassionally on the highway and each time I see it, I think it looks nice.

Well I had to get a laser and make it look like a talon, and I think but not real sure but the laser is the cheapest for insurance. I pay 250 a year on my dads insurance.

Very kind of you to say so, although my car is more of a Monet, looks good from 20 feet away, but the closer you get the worse it looks. What highway would that be?

My '91 Laser RS/t looks like shit but nothing can beat the looks of any 1ga, plus they are all the same internally. So I got a 400 dollar beater Laser that will still beat the crap out of most ricers out there. Find a Laser, its probably the cheepest of the three with the same amount of "oomf"

Thanks guys yes I am looking into buying a laser Rs/T but I cant seem to find one near the milwaukee area....I also like the idea of cheaper insurance.

Just make sure you get a 1G with pop-up headlights. Then you shave all the emblems off and paint it

People will think its a Eclipse about 95% of the time.
