Just an intake

Problem having

Ok so heres the problem im having. When i start the car and take off some times it will die. Just now when i was at store car started and would die it did that 2 times. Lately when i rev and shift out of first gear and bov releases car dies. Anyone have any possible suggestions for me to try. I have tried 2 different MAF sensors with intake and it does it on both. I currently have the stock sensor back on that came with car. These all started after i installed the intake.

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Build a boost leak tester and test it out. You should find the problem. Make sure all of your clamps are tight to your intake and all of your other connections after the air filter all of the way to the intake manifold.

Ok ill start that in the morning after work gonna be a fun day LOL.

Or if there is anyone near turlock or modesto that has one that would be willing to meet up tomorrow i could pay 20$ to get a quick test done

I cant find the tutorial on how to make it when i did the search on the forum. Do you happen to have a link to it.

If you boost leak test it, you're going to remove the intake you put on, potentially find no boost leaks (unlikely though) and put the intake back on and still have the same issue.

The problem is you are losing metered air somewhere along the lines on where you installed your intake. Check every single hose clamp and make sure it is super tight.

You might have a boost leak as well. A boost leak tester is an invaluable tool to have to take others advice from above.

definatley do a Boost Leak Test -http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-turbo-system-intercooler/169435-boost-leak-test-how-boostpro-net-tester.html everything u need to is in that link.

it really sounds like a non recirc'd bov, check both ends of your bov recirculation tube, all your intatke connections...all vaccum lines etc.. check everything that you may have changed. do a BLT, start up at the throttle body and work your way down. use soapy water to identify any leaks you may not hear etc..

This was happening to me as well... did a BLT and found leaks from the biss and some dry rotted hoses. Good thing to do even though it didn't completely fix my problem.
