hello guys.

im building a new engine. eagle h beams and ross 8.5 pistons. stock crank.
got arps main and head and cometic head gasket.
head got manley double springs, titanium retainers and those big gsc s3 cams.
turbo is a gt3586hta, fmic , full race smim.

car is full drag. transmision got exedy twin plate, rear end is ford 8 inches. car is about 2400 pounds with me in

question is: do i need to get some 272s or 274 cams or just go with my gsc s3?

Besides the price(cause I'm cheap) I love the GSC cams.

You really got to pick a turbo to fit the cams, or pick the cams to go with a turbo. If your looking at 500 hp.The s2's may be enough cam, but you have 3's So why not hit the dyno with 3's and go from there.

Those Cams will work well with that Turbo. Being in the 2L it'll want to spin to 9500+ for sure.

Picking up my motor this week.It has S3 cams with higher compression on a 2.0l.Can`t wait to get this project started.

Stock valves are fine.Stock springs are not.

But if your going for a 600hp car,Shouldn't you already have oversized valves.

I was running stroker 2.3 before this. Had so many trouble. Now i get this low mileage engine and im building 2.0L engine what i know very well.

Stroker i was using had manley oversized valves but we didnt look instalation height and now that engine is broke.

Im planning oversized valves for the end of this year

Thanks for advice (sorry my english LOL)

EDIT: one more question: are 3g lifters (3mm) necessary?
