The AWD TSI that I am looking at is owned by a guy who belongs to "Ground Zero" racing. I have never heard of it before this guy, but I have seen some of the other "team members" at the strip. My friend says that they all drive junk. Well, one of them drives a street legal turboed Cobra that runs 6s in the 1/8th all day. So I am trying to figure out if this kid is just an @$$hat or is tryin to keep me from buying junk. Anyone ever heard of "Ground Zero?"

Here is the link to their site

Archer Racing won the 94-96 SCCA World Challenge Championship. The drivers were Neil Hannemann, Willy Lewis, Paul Armstrong and Greg Theiss. All in the eagle talon. That's how I know there reputable.

As for "Ground Zero"... What did they win??

One of them has a damn good record in his Cobra. Once I get home I am gonna check out that forum.

Wow, more mods than me, and yet over a tenth slower in the 1/8? Not to mention the sleepy lights.

I don't think I could bring myself to pay a penny over $1k for that knowing how it has been abused as much as it looks like it has.

Well, my friend just texted me and said make an offer on his FWD 95 TSI. The only body damage is a dent where a baseball hit it. And there is egg on the left front fender. But he has another red one to replace it. He just put an FMIC on it, and just replaced the struts, timing belt, and put an eclipse (lo-deck) spoiler on it.

It has 149XXX miles on it, and all the things I mentioned have been done within 2000 or so. The only problems I know is one of the rear bushings needs replacing, and the left rear rim has a dent in it. He has a set of 17s, that he might include.

Another thing is I know everything he has done with this car, including how much he has spent, and its under 3k. So I am thinkin about sayin 3k. It kinda is a rip off, but he would be making profit.

Oh ya, he just put front brakes on it not to long ago too.

So I think that he is bein pretty good on maintenance in the time he has owned it. It also has a Borla muffler. With winter coming I know it might be kinda stupid to get an FWD, but I think this will be a good time to jump on it for cheap. And if need be I have two 4 wheel drive trucks at my house too.

Hey if your gonna add something, go to the button that says"edit" and put it in there. Dont keep posting extra facts, its almost like thread bumping.

i wouldent pay more thatn 2500 u have no idea how he abused this car and it has almost 15000 on it i wouldent trust the guy

Yeah i just bought a car thats guaranteed to have been abused even though the guy said he never did, LOL but ya know he did LOL So yeah it pays to be skeptical and ask alot of questions:sneaky:
