like i said in the title it grinds in first gear. I rebuilt the shifter assembly to like new condition. I bled the system for air. everything is real tight my question is how do i make adjustments on the shifter from inside the car? Oh ya and i extended the push rod on the master. If thats not it what else could it be?????any help would be great.thanks Joe. WTF

It is grinding in first cause your car is 15 years old. It could be something simple like misajusted lkinkage. It could be a bad syncro. A lot of old dsms have tranny problems. Try changing tranny fluid. It help mine for a while.
Good luck
