grinding sound when letting off gas

good evening Gentlemen/Ladies,

its that time of month gain when 3 things decide to go wrong on my car ....

i can figure out two out of the three but the last one is stumping me and my father as well as my mechanic.....

what happens is when I let off the gas of my car there is a grinding noise coming from the drivers side of my engine.... it lasts till about 1500 rpm than quits. I was thinking that it was my tensioner or idler pulley, but my mechanic says that they are all fine.... so now im turning to my brother/sisters in the dsm community. please shed some light on the situation

Sure it's not a loose heat shield rattling (eg. ex mani or muffler)?

could be the timing belt tensioner, when they start to go they sound like a chainsaw.

still havent figured it out anyone shed some light on the situation

You could try removing the accessary belts to eliminate those units as possibilities.

ok well after much delibertaion ( not really) i figured out the problem.... i was watching the belts as my little brother revved the car and it looked like the alternator wasnt bolted tight enough to the mounts cause it to wobble........ well i tightened up the bolts and WA LA no more grinding noise......
