Vibration/grinding when letting off the throttle

I'm having an issue that came up last night after driving on the highway. Whenever I drive 50+mph and I let off the gas pedal, it will make a vibrating/grinding feeling all over the car. If I slow down and speed up again, it goes away.

Could it be my transfer case? I haven't replaced the fluid in it since I bought it and i've driven 16k miles on it over the past year.

Dont know which versions of Eclipses had AWD but if yours does did you check and make sure the drive shaft is level? Seen a post about this on here somewhere about it.

Sounds exactly like my Transfer Case before it broke on me. Here is a link on how to check for leaks on the transfer case:

This isn't something you want to screw around with either if this is indeed what is causing your vibration. In many instances, the wheels lock up when it finally breaks, which isn't a good thing when you're on the highway. So make sure you check this before you drive your car anymore.

Have you checked the fluid in your t-case lately? If it has very little in it I would expect that to be your problem.
