i have a grinding noise coming from the passenger side of my engine i have a 5spd tsi awd and i first started noticing it when i was driving kind of slowely in first gear. then just today i started the car up and it was making that grinding noise agian then when i pushed in the clutch and drove off the sound went away. any thoughts?
 
Sounds like the intermediate shaft bearing in your transmission!
It will kinda sound like a bad tob.
