Ok boys im back.

I drive a 98 Eclipse GS-T 5-speed and im having some issues.

At some points the car idles around 1.5k rpms and takes a while to go back down to around the normal idle.

My alternator pulleys keep squealing and it kinda bothers me so i put some WD-40 on it and it works for a while but eventually comes back.

When i accelarate at low RPM's in first gear the car kinda shutters from the engine so i have to leave around 2.5k rpms to actually move without it doing that.

4) There is this grinding noise coming from somewhere in my engine bay that you can only hear when you push the gas or downshift. If i push the clutch in it stops right away.

My car is all stock and im so confused. Any help would be nice:pray:

Alright I will try that.

Now every other one of those problems confuse me so much. These cars are so complicated

*****Update.. thank you crimsondragon. you were right about tightening the belt. Now i just need the rest figured out. But muchos gracias!

But if it was the throw out bearing wouldnt it make the grinding noise when i pushed the clutch in? It only does it when i push the gas or downshift but when i push the clutch it stops

maybe you already know, but you might not want to spray any more WD-40 on your belts, over time it will ruin/degrade the belts. use Belt Dressing (canned spray) next time. As far as the car "shuddering" and the extended high idle on start-up, check all your basics, wires, plugs, b-leaks, biss, isc, etc. I also went through the same type of symptoms, and fixed it over a year ago by checking/fixing the above.

Throw out bearing grinding will stop when you push in clutch and start when clutch is left out. The more you rev the louder and faster it will get.

Alright i just ordered most of the stuff that you listed,

Alright i will try that. I was wondering what would happen over time if i had not had help figuring out what that was

Tranny rebuild. Since you have to remove the tranny to get to it. Check your clutch flywheel and pressure plate.
