Grill and taillight sections

Before i bought my car i looked at another 1g, this car had a center grill piece with no eagle or mitsu emblem, just chrome mesh. He also had a taillight center section with no emblem. any ideas where i can find these? i looked on e-bay and didnt find anything.

The mesh sounds like something that has been home-made. The 1990-1991 Eclipses had a center section that spelled out MITSUBISHI on them in black letters. They look like they can be removed somehow- or ground down and polished out if they are part of the lens.

you can take out the rear emblem and I guess you can cut out the part where the eagle emblem goes on the front, take out the stock plastic mesh and put new mesh in it's place.

With the taillight emblem, all you need is dental floss and you can get the Eagle symbol taken off.

I have a friend with a 1g Talon and he bought euro taillights that happened to have a smooth center section.. Trashed the outer lights and painted the center piece.. he got all this done for about 80 bucks.. Hope this helps

That center piece comes apart as well, so fabricating some metal mesh in there would be pretty simple.
