Green Security Light No Longer Turns On

hey guys, just today after I changed my thermostat I noticed that when i lock my doors, i dont see that little green security light in the dash light up for about 30 seconds. also my boost gauge back light isn't lighting up anymore. The boost gauge back light is attached with the acc so it lights up when the key is turned one up, the fuse is not blown because my radar detector is also wired to acc and that's turning on without any problems. i checked all the fuses on the bottom near the clutch pedal and all of them are in tact so does any one have any idea on what it could be? is the back light of the boost gauge connected to my anti-theft? thanks in advance!

Check your hood switch since you had the hood up.

oh is it that little rubber button thing on the driver side of the engine near the front headlight?

cool, thanks alot..going to check that out right now will report back in 5 mins.

nope :/ its connected and looks the same..but the rubber boot that was once on there is no longer there . would that matter tho? annddd its really cold out

The missing boot shouldn't matter unless water got in there some how and killed the switch. Mine was doing this when the driver's side door switch stopped working. Apparently the security system didn't know the door was ever opened / closed, therefore it never enabled the system.

When you open your door, do the interior lights turn on?

Yea I tested that..both doors. When I push the button the lights dim out on driver and pass side. But does this have any relation to my boost gauge light not working? Since they both went out together?

Where else are there security sensors?

Just noted cruise control is no longer working..where is this fuse located?

Ok so I took out every single fuse in the car and took a good look at all of them and they're all good. where should I look now?

another thing i noted, when I unlock my car from driver side, when I would turn the key twice to the right it would unlock both doors and now it only unlocks driver side. But if I lock it from driver side, both doors will lock.

There's a "module" near the fuse box in the driver's side. It's the Anti Theft. Once this one burnt and my green security light didn't turn on until i changed the part. =(

Hello friend ! Sorry, but right ow I don't have a picture, but it's located exactly at the relay box under your dash next to your hood release latch. It's a black large rectangular relay.

not a problem bro thank you anyway, but im thinking, maybe its a ground? because im having these symptoms..

-cruise control no longer works

-green security light no longer turns on

-boost gauge backlight doesnt light up

-when i try to unlock both doors by turning the key twice in the door handle, only opens my driver door and not my pass anymore like it used to
