Greddy Type-S install question.

In the process of installing my type-s right now. I have the stock intercooler pipes. With the type-s flange, is any sealant required to adhere the new flange to the pipe? I tried tightening the clamp around the new flange, but it tightens around the plastic first. I also have a 'mystery' piece, it looks like it would fit in the bottom of the bov except for it's too big to do that. Any ideas? Sorry for not posting pics, I can't find the camera. =(


Like I said I'm in the process of the install, so any immediate help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah I referred to those instructions up until this point, but those are specifically for an install that already has the metal piping. I still have the stock plastic tubes, and was wondering if there was anyway to make this work. Or is it time to invest in some metal pipes?

Also, how do I clear the hood once the install is done?
