Greddy turbine Question - pushing the limit

My roommate and I just graduated in Mechanical engineering. We both wanted to build an all round performance car. So. . . we bought a gsx 5 speed . I have mechanic experience and mild honda tuning experience. This car is a chance for us to learn and push the limits.

I want to go all greddy (turbine, boost, fuel managementl) but greddy indicated that their kit is sufficient for most producing up to 420 hp with a 18g turbine.

Well, My question is "what is actually limiting the max power. The engine or turbine setup."

I want to someday be able to push 500 to 600 hp at the wheels. Alot of other mods will be needed to do this and are not being mentioned right now.

When most people graduate they tend to think,"oh good, now I can put the books away". Guess again. You're a mechanical engineer, you should be able to answer your own question.

The 18g can only flow so much air. It can not provide enough airflow for 600 HP. Realistically it will max out at around 400 to 410 HP.

It might be nice to say that your car is all Greedy, but an all Greedy car won't be optimum. It's not accidental that just about every modded DSM has parts from more than one vendor. Many DSM's even have several parts from other DSM's.

Just get yourself aquainted and read up, when you learn abotu dsm's, chances are you wont have one greddy part on the car!
