I am trying to install a greddy full auto TT and I pulled my console to hook up the parking break safety wire and there is a lead coming from the parking break with an empty female conector at the end. I am assuming that there is suposed to be another wire conected to that piece.

I looked all around and I cant seem to locate the other end of the wire anywhere.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and is this a necessary connection or can I just not hook up that part of the TT.

Thanks,
Ben

Ok, I just looked at a pic of my car with the console out,

Just to note I purchased this car wrecked and obvoiusly in very bad shape. The prevoius owner cut the Air bag computer harness as you can see in the pic. I removed the assembly because I didnt want to try and reconnect all 900 wires contained in the harness as well as I couldnt find the other end of it. From the pic I can see that the parking break lead conects in with that which is now gone.

Just thought this might help, thanks for any suggestions

the wire comes off the other side of the parking brake. Look near the adjustment, it will be on the floor right underneath it.

No, you dont need it hooked up to work. But when it is hooked up if your parking brake gets put down while the car is on idle it will shut off and thus become harder to steal.

*Another tip* I've read that Greddy screwed up the harness when they made it, and they switched up the accessory and other power stuff. This could be why many people cannot get thier cars to idle when they remove the key (mine doesn't idle after key is removed). I would take a voltmeter to the harness and check to see if this is the case. Also, if you want to use the factory alarm, be sure to check out the vfaq page on the TT install.
