Hello everyone,
I have installed my Greddy Profec B Spec II according to this thread( http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...ng/114624-greddy-profec-b-spec-2-install.html ) but I am having problems with the unit.
I am getting a reading (kPa) so I am pretty sure I have the correct vacuum source, but I am wondering if the solenoid is not functioning. When I drive it I am only getting stock boost(14 psi) on my boost gauge. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any help!

The Solenoid either works or dosent, when mine went out it just would not open and no matter my setting I would run at spring pressure. Hook it up to a 12v source directly and you should hear it open/close on its own..

Thanks, I will try that this evening and get back with results.

The easiest way to test the solenoid AND the main box for function (basic operation of on/off with the solenoid) is to take your air compressor and turn the regulator down to about 40psi, then use an air blower attachment and blow into the vac line with the boost controller powered on. Stick the air blower into the vac line and hold it with one hand and put the other on the solenoid. When you put air into the line you should feel a rapic clicking in the solenoid box.

If there's no clicking going on try powering the solenoid with a straight 12 volts, it will only click once each time you supply it with the 12v power. if it's not clicking at all it's probably bad. Inside that box on the older style profec there's actually 2 really small solenoids like our cars have for emmisions and FPR control

The truth is, they are pieces of junk. You will find that boost control isn't really control at all as it struggles to keep boost constant.

Weird, I've NEVER had an issue with mine when setup properly and i got it used AGES ago and set it up based on the instructions i found on the website
