what does the Greddy Evo Exhaust sound like is it loud or does it have a nice throaty sound because I am getting mixed reviews on what it sounds like.

i kno a kid with one on his supra with a 2jz engine. its pretty quiet but when he gets on it it sounds like a crotch rocket. at idle and low rpm's it sounds as if it was stock.

I just got mine installed this weekend and it sounds better then the stupid Ebay exhaust i had on(way tooo loud).....sounds deep at low rpms...i like this one way better~

i have the evo also on my turboed gs

sounds great, it is bolted to a pacesetter hi flo cat so that might have something to do with it but i am more than happy with it

imagine the loudest chainsawiest (actual word look it up) autozone universal you can find
i think that the evo is the opposite of that

^^^^ This is exactly how it sounds on my Eclipse too. I'm the only one in my town with a 3" turboback exhaust that has never been pulled over for "loud exhaust". It sounds very good and also sound legal. :thumb:

The Evo exhaust on the highway is it loud.
Compared to what?

At idle, compared to most, it's quieter.
On the highway, compared to most it's quieter.
But compared to stock, yeah, it's loud. It's not 'annoying' loud, but you can hear the hum. :thumb:

It's just me I guess but I have the Tsudo/Tenai N1 exhaust with a Catco hi-flow cat off of Ebay and I absolutely love it. Yeah it's really loud but it's also deep and throaty at the same time. Idling or at lower speeds it sounds almost like a V6.

I can respect someone wanting to own the name, but I paid 240 for my exhaust shipped and the gain was incredible, especially when I added the hi-flow cat.

It's loud but I like it loud. I'm considering taking the cat off and replacing it with a test pipe. No, this isn't really to make it louder as much as it is to see if there's any (bigger) performance gain. If I put it on it would be at the same time as my OBX header, which remains unapplied.

Like on highway driving and you have a passenger can you hear them talk.
Keep in mind that my reports of the EVO exhaust are from a turbo Eclipse not a N/T. They could sound a little different. But to answer your question: On the highway, if I roll the windows up, I can carry on a conversation with a passenger easily. It really isn't too loud at all in that aspect. I can even talk on my cell w/o problems. I love the way mine sounds and I'm glad it's not extremely loud. :thumb:

I know that this a bad comparison but a friend was telling me that the evo exhaust sound like the exhaust on the fast and the furious is that true.

It doesnt on my car, but it might for a N/T. Compared to that one, my car sounds more throaty and deep and less honda-sounding. I have video and sound clips of my exhaust, but I dont know where I can host them. If someone can help me, you'd be able to hear it.....

i have the greddy evo 2 on mine, although mine is also a gs-t so im sure it does sound a little different. i love mine, its just like 99gst said, real deep tone just idling u get on it pretty hard and it'll kinda scream, it sounds nothing like the hondas whatsoever.

I hate to sound cliche, but you get what you pay for. As far as dms go I have never heard it on one before but I have heard it on an evolution VIII and it's a thing of beauty. I say if you have the money go for it :thumb:

In my neighourhood the houses are really close and I do come home very late, is the exhaust very loud that when I am driving past houses the to get to my house can the exhaust wake people up.

I got this Holley Air Mass ThunderMuff Full CatBack Exhaust System on my 99 RS N/T. http://www.holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Products/ES/ESAM/TCatback.html
It comes with 5" or 5 1/2 tip. My advice, never buy them. They are super super loud. It would be better if you drive with ear protection for your safety. In school, when I pull in the parking structure, you can hear over 20 car alarms going off. The good thing about it that I live in Michigan which doesnt have any laws against mufflers. Thanks Lord I never got pulled over yet :D :shhh:
