Quick question, I recently bought a greedy blow off valve and I am about to install it but stumbled on some debate on FB dsm group, so I want to clarify for my sake. My question is, do I need to have a recirculating bov or can it be open to atmosphere? I have stock setup, 16g turbo, not running more than 12 lb boost. Thank you

Nope. Needs to b recirculating unless u have dsmlink tuned with speed density or a Gm air flow sensor and a translator. Unless someone else knows something I don’t.

More important is that you understand how things work.
Quick answer. If you're running a stock maf yes you need to recirculate.

The only problem you may experience is when coming to a stop. You have metered air (maf) escaping so it might stall when you come to a stop. Like Chris said, it can be tuned with ecmlink if you have it. BUT I did have my 2g to atmosphere and it was fine FOR THE MOST PART.

Proper way is to recirculate with maf and no tuning device.
