got the head off, some pics.

so i got the head off i got some pics off the head and the block. looks like time for a rebuild, probably gonna have to buy a new head dont think its rebuilable though

Is a head at a U pull it more than $50? I've never seen it more than that. Although I've never seen a 2G in the junkyard, plenty of 1G and hundais though.

I found a head and talked the guy down to $50. I sent it to get machined and steamed because i dont like taking chances. It cost me $20 for a steam clean (head and intake manifold residue removal) and $90 for a machining. If your low on money take that route.

It also looks like you have some head gasket left on the cylinder head. Be careful not to scuff it up with a tool trying to remove it.

well that would be due to the fact that my first eclipse was a 420a and when i registered i wasa eager to have a username so i put that and since then i have sold my 96 eclipse gs and have bought a 94 gsx which comes with a 4g63t and so therefore i cannot change my username, i have looked into and its not allowed anymore. so nothing i can do about it.

we think my timing jumped because of the leaky crank seal that was spitting oil on my belt.I destroyed all my intake valves.
