Got the datalogger, now what?

OK, I got my datalogger up and running. I have a laptop, with the tunerstein program on it. My first question would be what do I log? Should I simply start logging and drive the car for an hour and just let it continue to log data or should I start logging and run through second or third gear then stop? Next, what data am I supposed to be looking at after I have logged. With tunerstein there are a lot of graphs and charts that can be viewed but on the home screen it displays the peak values above a certain throttle position and above a certain rpm. Are these the values that I should be paying attention to, just the peak values? I don't have any tuning tools yet but I should be getting a safc2 in a week or two and I want to get a head start on reading the logs and whatnot.

Unfortunatly tunerstein is my only option right now as far as logging programs are concerned. It's seems a little cumbersome, but I don't have the money to get a palm or to get the tmo software which, from what I read, isn't even available anymore. If anyone knows of a better program to use please let me know.

I tried finding a faq on how to use a datalogger and what to look for but I could not find anything, so any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

normally you wuld do a 3rd gear pull from likw 2500 or 2 grand to the top of the chart. You should pay attention to your injector cycles, timing, knock and egt if you have it. If you have knock turn down boost or run better fuel. As far as the in depth tuning....talk to one of the w isemen.....i h onestly dont want to have you do somethign im not sure of myself..im still le arning on what to do with the values i used to get. But be sure about knockc for sure LOL....adn if you dont have knock try advancing your timing a lil bi t and see if yo ustart t o get any...slowly nad slowly until yo u start ghet ting knock counts nad back it off a lil bit

Thanks for the replies. That information has been very informative. I think I have a very good starting point now.
