Got my new turbo BUT?

So I just got my new turbo today opend it up and it is beautifull PTE 5557 setup for external wastegate. Then I look closer and they blocked of the the wastegate port on the hot side where the flaper is, so dose that mean I have to run the external wastegate off the manifold? or can I still run it off the o2 houseing?

If there's no way of removing whatever's blocking the port ie. welded then yes, you need to run the wastegate off of the exhaust manifold.

Yes you have to run your wastegate off your manifold, unless you can get the passage opened up. Best off luck.

If you think about it, since the flapper is blocked off, welded?, then how will you expel exhaust? I think Yes...you will have to set up an external wastegate on the exhaust mani.

Thats what I thought, its completely filled in but thanks guys appreciate the help

Take it to a machine shop and get it machined out if you are dead set to run one off the o2 housing. I am sure that they could do it with relative ease. If you dont want the hassle then like everyone else said run it off the manifold.
