Anyone that is running an LSD I was wondering if maybe this is a common thing that I have going on. First some back story. I just got done swap my A/T for an M/T and I used a set of used Axles. Well I also have a Kaaz LSD. My problem is when I'm turning under power only, when I'm on the gas, I get a extremely bad clank sound. This goes away once I'm pointed straight. At first I thought it was just the LSD acting that way from hearing other similar stories. But then I got to thinking if maybe it could be my CV's, since they are used. I have a TRE built tranny so that could also be part of the problem. And I'm still in my break in period. Any help or idea would be great. Thanks.

The clank you hear, I assume that it is coming from the front passenger side of the car. Does it only do this when you are in gear or continually. What gear oil are you using? If the KAAZ fluid, after the break in, switch to MOTUL and the clanking will almost go away. Also, is it just one clunk, or consecutive clunks. If you depress the clutch does the clunking stop?

I have a KAAZ also, it sounds like its just the LSD. I have found that the MOTUL fluid almost eliminates the noises that the KAAZ creates.

BTW, there is no "break in" for the trans, just the LSD. Bad axles are more of a click than a clunk.
