got a deal on a turbo, suggestions welcome

Hi!

Right now i have a 95 gsx with a 6-bolt...

I just feel that my lil 14b isn't giving me enough power. A friend of mine is trying to get rid of a T3-T67 (i belive thats what he called it)..

my question is...how will fitment be? would i need slim fans?
would this turbo be too laggy?

btw i have supporting mods..660cc, dsmlink, wb 255, act 2100 ++

Being that you will have a 67 trim turbo..............

1. Bigger intake piping
2. T3//T4 headers/exhaust manifold
3. Custom o2 housing
4. Oil lines (recieving and returning line)
5. Different intercooler piping, turbo compressor will most like be point straight down

If there is anything i can think of, i will be sure to keep you informed.

nice reply alex i didn't even think about the 02 housing and intercooler piping... He said he would install it if bought it from him though...but i had to get the parts...

i might just go for a evo 16g for the simplicity...i have to look at my cashflow first

I think an EVO III would be an excellent choice based on the cost and your current modifications. Alex did a great job of bringing up all of the extra pieces that you'd need to make the T3/T4 work with your setup and it proves that something inexpensive usually isn't.

Just as a point of interest, I noticed you're running a 255. Please tell me you have an AFPR since the lack of one will make you beyond rich. Other than that, your setup is perfect for an EVO III.

i actually don't...i've been meaning to get one but since my tranny busted(new one from shep going in by the end of the week) i've used most of my money on that and forgot about it....

how hard is the install on an afpr...i'm gonna read up on the exact proccedure but just a rough estimate for a novice.

Depending on what fpr you get, I would say the hardest thing to do is to get all the fittings and lines right. To install it, I dont think you wiill have a concern with that, just making sure you have all the fittings, connectors, lines, etc.... Another thing too, if your going to be running a guage, you will need a vacuum line running off the fpr.
