So, after years of pining and wanting, waiting, and talking myself out of it, I finally got a DSM. A 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. The body is in pretty good shape, especially considering the age. The interior leaves a lot to be desired. It's not torn up, but it's dirty as hell, and has the dreaded smokers stink. The foam is also detaching from the passenger side of the dash, and some of the plastic panels are faded. It came with no engine, but I found a machined block, crank, 2g pistons on 1g rods. The car did come with a head, and everything else required to make it run. Let's hope the seller was at least somewhat honest.
As stated in my description, this car will be used almost entirely on the street. I want the car to handle, as well as shoot straight lines. Brakes will be a must, as well as larger wheels and wider tires.
The car will also be nice to look at, with the color scheme already decided. Interior and exterior will be massaged and made better than new.
The pictures show where I am starting and how far I have to go.

The car is in decent shape as you can see. Has a sunroof, and even a pogo stick to hold up the hatch.

Some day soon, There will be a relatively stock 6bolt engine sitting here. I would like to drive it a little while I build a decent engine and do a 5 spd swap.

The interior is used but not worn out. There is a heel hole in the carpet, and the dash is rolling up from the breakdown of the poly-iso foam padding. Upholstry is dirty and probably stained beyond repair. One day it will be replace, but for now a good cleaning will suffice.

another pic of the stained interior. The back seats actually show how stained they are. You can see the original color of the seat, as well as the the "poop stained" seat bottom.
So, this is where we begin. A non-running, automatic, awd with a nasty dirty interior and some minor dings and rust. Follow this blog and watch her transform into something worth driving and looking at.
