Good Exhaust Setup for 2g ?

Hey guys just purchased a 97 gst with an evo 3 16g running on 15psi and crushed 1g bov. Im happy with the cars performance but the exhaust sounds pretty crappy, its very loud with a flat shitty tone at high rpms. I cant really identity the exhaust it looks like some no name stuff and its got a test pipe with a stock dp. Most eclipses ive seen on youtube dont sound that great. Does anyone have any suggestions for a setup that will be loud and sound half decent ?

you also have to remember on youtube there is no set standards for camera quality, microphone on camera quality, surroundings etc some of my older videos of my trucks exhaust sounds like crap and distorts with a camera mic but my go pro wont distort and gets cleaner sound. on my k5 it makes it sound like a wisper at 20 feet away with camera and yet it shakes all the windows in my house and neigbors house idling. . i know thermal rd sounds good but i personally am running srs 3in catback and downpipe and like the way it sounds deeper and not ricey .

and its not a dsm but same location of camera first is regular sd card camera of good quality, second is go pro and notice the sound difference.

I agree with the SRS catback + downpipe. Best bang for your buck. If you don't like the fart can muffler you can get it replaced with a magnaflow and it will still be a lot cheaper than any other setup. It has 2 resonators and a nice low tone

I also like the Megan racing 3in catback exhaust. Sounds decent and not too bad for the price. The srs isn't too bad in price either but had too much rasp for me. Good luck with your search.

SRS is the only good looking tip ive seen for a 2g, and its a very reputable company.

I think srs looks great but to me sound's too raspy. Thermal and Megan racing Imo sound the best for a smaller budget exhaust.

It's near the end on the downpipe I had it tucked up so nothing hangs down

I LOVE the sound of a thermal R&D exhaust. That was the first exhaust I ever heard on a dsm. Haven't heard a better one since. I'm sure you could find one in the 4g63 classifieds.

I have a PR 3" downpipe mated to a true 3" Thermal catback. And damn it sounds amazing. Best sounding exhaust for a DSM IMO.

I'm running a modified Buschur Racing 3" downpipe going to a Random Technology 3" metal core high flow cat into a 3" Thermal R&D exhaust. I think it sounds pretty good a bit loud but not too loud.

I would say the exhaust sounds just like my friends 1g. Fully built E85, hx40, just wicked. Especially if the interior is stripped completely. Tough sound. Does it get to where its almost obnoxious? Thats the only thing would get to me on a dd.
