Good affordable gaskets?

Like the title says, I need some good affordable gaskets. I'm looking for an entire set, top to bottom. What and who do you guys recommend, and what do you use? Thanks!

Never heard of that brand. Weird that that's all Rock Auto carries. Advance Auto carries a full Fel-Pro Performance Gasket set for $148. They also have a promo right now. Use the code VISA and it takes $50 off $150. So buy something else for $2 and you're set.

I second the fel-pro or if you do not care about brands just shop around at local parts stores. Prices vary in different areas.

I ran those in my old car and the valve covers leaked. Hence why I bought Fel-Pro headgaskets separate to be safe.

I have a 6 bolt.

When I bought my set, I was looking for the full set that included all oil seals, o-rings crush washers and spark plug gaskets. I found a set off of thedsmgraveyard.com which seems very good quality upon inspection. I also spoke with a main tech there and they said they use this to build some of their stockers. He also said the HG would be very good for my application, Evo3 16G & ARP studs. This set has everything, even a new seal for the timing cover.

I had the same problem with my Eristic valve cover gasket. I would never purchase anything from Eristic again. I have always had good luck with the Fel-Pro ones.

Right now, just a few psi above stock. I have an MLS head gasket, and a set of ARP head bolts. I'm thinking about the Felpro sets from Advance with the coupon code. One other question though, what do you guys think about the gasket sprays? Does anyone use a specific kind, or try to avoid them?

I use copper spray on composite hg, exhaust gaskets, and intake gaskets. Pretty much anywhere where rtv is too much.

I personally wouldn't let any sealant anywhere close to a composite gasket. The gasket itself with a properly prepped surface will seal every time.

Fel pro kit with OEM HG, copper spray and apr head studs. I'm on 19 PSI and hit 12.7 @ 109 in my DD....I did that build 4 years ago and it still ruining strong

I'm curious, has any one ordered and have any experience with this engine gasket set from Parts Dinosaur? I'm looking to order an engine gasket set as well and will be using a different HG anyway.

Why would you not just use OEM? Mitsu parts aren't that expensive (have you ever compared to some of the other manufacturers?) & you know the quality is there. Ontop of that, there are many online dealers & DSM shops, that are much cheeper vs the local dealer. Check out JNZ Tuning.

Personally I'd rather spend a couple more bucks on an OEM gasket vs buying one thats abit cheeper to find out it fails down the road & have to tear everything apart to do the job again.
