Going to install boost gauge and got questions about 14b psi

Alright so im about to install my gauges that i got a few days ago. Well my 14b hasent been working 100% right since i installed it so now that i have a boost gauge i can actually kinda tell whats going on. Well what my 1st question is, What psi should a stock 14b be running on a 99 gsx w/ intake exhaust and bov? If i havent modded anything but that what should a stock 14b read?


Also what psi can i run it at with those mods? I was thinking 14 or 15 psi.

And a side question. If m t25 took a shit and then i installed a 14b and say thats taking a shit, what could cause turbos to go out like that? Now im not saying its the turbo going out but for right now its a possibility.
 
Could be low oil pressure from the head, could be multiple things like a restriction to a dying oil pump.
As for your boost 15psi should be fine as long as your not lean or running your injectors past 80-85% duty cycle.

If you are using the factory boost solenoid, it should be about 10-11psi and possibly creep a few psi up top with the exhaust


Also what psi can i run it at with those mods? I was thinking 14 or 15 psi.
I would invest in a logger first to be sure, but you should be fine with 14psi.

How many miles were on the t25 when it died?
Improper oiling or clogged feed or not letting it idle long enough before shutdown sound like your possible issues

But for the last question, i forgot to mention why i think it might be the turbo. When its idling and i rev it past 4rpm white smoke comes out. Very rare that it comes out when im sitting there but has once or twice. When i take off in 1st WOT a bunch of smoke comes out. But it barley or doesnt even dot it in other gears WOT.

Even though your t25 was oiled from the filter housing from the factory, you should oil your mhi 14b from the cylinder head.
Blue smoke is an indication of oil in the exhaust. If you are getting white smoke, you may want to do a compression test to make sure you dont have a blow head gasket.
It is possible their is a crack in the turbo cartridge causing coolant to enter the exhaust from the water lines
