ok, im going to be putting a FMIC on, but im not sure what size to get?

im only gonna have the 14b on there.

but any suggestions please?

I would def go with a big one then if thats what your going to do, but pay attention to how much horse power it says it can hold, exp: don't by a FMIC kit that is only rated for 400hp if your going to be building a 500hp car, and how much boost that there rated for.

UGHH...

That makes no sense. Thats a selling ploy to newbies like yourself.

The fact is a 16g flows less air than a 20G does at 15psi.

So that 20g at 15psi is flowing more air and that ='s more hp.

This kit is only $300 and that will do well for most people on here.
DSM INTERCOOLER KIT 1990 - 1994 1ST GEN 4G63, Mitsubishi Intercooler Kits, XS Power Inc.

Alot of people use a Ebay core and pipes just make sure you have your pipes beaded because the couplers will pop off. Or check the custom fab section about how to make a bead roller.

I wasn't trying to belittle you or make you feel stupid. :thumb: At least your taking the time and try to learn things thats all a big plus for everyone because some time in the future someone is going to ask a question about something and your going to know what your talking about.

I have learned alot through research and great people on this site 1992awdlaser, MrBoxx, Jusumex or how ever you spell it. But not everyone has to be a mod or a wiseman. I bet someone has something on this site to benifit someone else in some sort of way. Keep up the good work.

Thanks alot man i look up to all you guys when i see threads talking about wideband o2,external wastegates,o2 dumps, fpr, and how to tune. I know i may ask stupid questions sumtimes or ask a question i could search in the forums but i do it ### it helps me learn better. SO THANKS EVERYONE THAT HAS HELPED ME AND BEEN SUPORTIVE. PIMking are you going to the dsm meet in des moins this summer?

I don't know what other people b postin' but I run my ported & clipped big 16G@20psi off a DEJON | Powerhouse super sidemount with great response and sort of a sleeper look. I feel a good push staring at 3200. If you do have a 14b is a front mount worth it? Ionno someone educate me. I guess the smaller intercoolers can have heat-soak problems so i always thought methanol wouldn't be a bad idea...an adjustable one...oh yeah

a 14b is a upgrade for the 2g guys. But why not? really getting that compressed air colder is always a good thing. It will cause some lag but if your fwd that would help you.

this is how im going to try and run my future setup.

i was gonna try this, stock 450 injectors with methanol to keep it cool, running 18 lbs with maft to tune. could i keep the SMIC or do you guys think it would heatsoak?
