So all my mods are current, up to date. Im not worried about overrunning my 1000ccs just yet, i can easily hit 400whp with them so no worries there.
I have heard the fuel lines and some o rings etc need to be modified.
Ive even heard the tank itself is not meant to handle e85? True?
I dont want to go through a major overhaul but what should i do, other than change globals, afr DAs, re do idle etc, to be prepared? Im stoked. Im finally going to safely crack the 50lb min barrier, i think the 5858 will flow over 65lbs but we shall see. Oooooh the power....

I run 1200CC injectors.. Some people say 1000s aren't capable of running E85 but some say they are.. 1000s push it.. You need a FPR if you don't have one already, a 255 fuel pump min. Maybe a 190. not sure. E85 eats the fuel lines, so upgrade to Stainless, i have stainless from pump to filter, also you can't run the stock paper filter gotta upgrade that or it'll eat away...

Single Walbro 255 should be ok for now. Also stock fpr is fine. Just make sure your not maxing out your injectors. You will be surprised how the stock fuel system and lines hold up. Only thing is probably changing your fuel filter a few times after a couple tanks as the e85 cleans out gunk. Also good luck hope you make good numbers. :)

Don't guess; do the math. Or if you don't like simple math, use the calculators that Brian created on our own site. It doesn't get much easier than that guys. :)

Crunching a few numbers (or simply typing them in):

Given 400chp, 80% IDC, and 43.5psi base FP... you need 853cc injectors on gas, or 1273cc injectors on E85 (using the widely accepted .67 conversion factor). So you need something larger than 1000cc injectors even for 400chp, if you want to maintain an 80% IDC. On paper, 93% IDC's are what you'll end up with using 1000cc injectors on E85 at 400HP.

As for your bigger goal:

At an AFR of 11.7:1 (good starting point for corn juice) and 50 lbs/min of airflow, you'll need about 4.3 lbs/min, or 41.4 gals/hr of fuel. At 13.5v, a Walbro 255hp pump will flow roughly 56 gals/hr at 70 psi, which would be 26.5psi of boost if base FP is 43.5psi. BUT...if the voltage drops to 12v, it will only flow 46 gals/hr at that same boost. If you run any more boost or the voltage drops, you don't have much of a safety margin. Not to mention that going much above 28psi of boost puts you really close to that pump's high pressure relief valve crack point.

Assuming 500 crank HP from that 50 lbs of air (a very general rule of thumb), 80% IDC's, BSFC of .65, and base fuel pressure at 43.5 psi, you'll need 1066cc injectors on gas, or 1592cc injectors on E85. At that power level, your theoretical IDC's would be 128% with 1000cc injectors... so you may want to rethink that "Im not worried about overrunning my 1000ccs" thing if you plan on getting to that 50lbs/min any time soon. :)

thanks as always craig. I didnt do the math obviously. But, ill run these 1000s til i need more power(very soon) and get a set of 1600s or bigger. Another example of why we should listen when people say : get the biggest injectors yu can if youre running linkv3" I didnt listen, thought id be on pump forever. That lastd all of 1000 miles and im ready for corn power now! Ill read up on those links first though.
