16g Swap Checklist!

-3 pod pillar
-2 pod steering bezel

-16g Install kit

-FP Exhaust Mani w/ ceramic coating

Things I know I need:
Competition clutch stage 2 or ACT 2100
16g/14b wastegate actuator for internal wastegate

I feel like im missing something. when I order the actuator new from EPSI.com, will I need any hardware to put it on the turbo?

exactly what hardware should I buy and from where to make sure that the install goes smoothly. i hear exhaust mani, o2 housing, and exhaust mani > turbo bolts all tend to break.

Also any other gaskets i should replace such as VC gasket or TB gaskets to keep the new higher boost in check? i plan to run 18-20 psi

No good list it doesnt need much to run that turbo.

That's more then enough for 20psi.stock manifold and o2 will be enough but if you got the extra money spend it. Lost looks good. 2g head gaskets are good. Exhaust gaskets and bolts are good idea to change out. You dont need to if they dont break when you pull em out. If throttlebody leaking then you can fix that, do boost leak test. If you're vc gasket leaking replace that. If not your good.

Might not hurt for the fuel pump rewire while your in there doing that. I think its only like 20 bucks also.

I am also preparing for bigger options in the future and maybe AWD swap.

probably awd swap, then build a 2.3 motor

Don't forget about your suspension/brakes/tires. Otherwise, it'd be like having 18" biceps with chickenlegs.

That list is definitely overkill for such a small turbo at low boost but these extra things definitely put you on the right track for a big turbo. I would recommend getting oil drain gaskets as those little guys like to rip and stick to the oil drain line flanges. If you've already done a blt and you don't have any leaks you should be fine with the few pounds of added boost.
