Go Big or Go Home?

OK i am posting this in the newbie forum just for the sake of not making anyone else mad. I hope plenty of people read this. As of right now i have decided that I would like to get my 97 Eagle Talon TSI AWD into the 11s or 12s on Pump Gas. I want a streetable car and don't want to have to run to the track to get race gas if i decide to smoke a V8 on the street. I have contacted FFWD connection and started talking about getting Darren over there to build me a Motor. I plan on getting one of his longblocks and I am going to talk to him more about what all I will need for my goal other then what comes with the longblock. Right now after talking to him I have decided on 850cc injectors because he said I would need it. Also I was looking at running the AGP RS60T, a FMIC that i have not decided on yet and DSMLink. He suggested GM MAFT also. Does anyone use DSMLINK and GM MAFT or no. I already have a 255lph Walbro and 3in. Apex N1 exhaust with a FPBig28 turbo and all Dejon Intake pipes with Greddy Type S. With the selection of the RS60T what kind of Manifold should I be looking at and O2 housing? I plan on running External setup but not sure of the Wastgate size I should go with. And I found out that I know nothing about the external Tial wastegate springs. Could someone help me with that? What else do you guys recommend? MSD ignition? Just had a new tranny installed so not too worried about that. And from what I have read I'm guessing I should go with a act 2600 with this setup? Any comments are welcome and criticism. My budget seem about 10K. Is 12s-11s quarter miles with a FFWD connection motor and all supporting mods doable? Thanks!

Well u are going big if your going with FFWD Conn.. Their motors are $$$. And all this jsut to go into the 12's. Cause 12's from an AWD is pretty simple.. its not at all that hard.. But ull be in the 11's with an awd.and hte rs60..and yes most people run dsmlink and gm maf. and external gate i would go with a 40mm off hte 02housing. this way u can jsut keep ur exhaust mani . And honestly i wouldnt spend all that money wiht a motor from FFWD.. I would get a a 6 bolt swapped in.. and have it spruced up a bit.

you dont even need that much to get into 12's with a awd.

but seeing that you have the money, a rs60t or such ought to suit the built motor nicely.

you couldve done without building a race ready motor, the stock 7bolt is capible of doing 12's easily(even down to deep 11's with proper tuning). hell even a E16g/20g and support with the right driver would be able to get into 12's.
