okay i know im probably going to get a bunch of complaints for posting here but i need some insight on my build. here is a list of what my car has it is a 1gb laser awd auto.
*14b turbo
*ported 2g exhaust manifold
*ported o2 housing
*1g 5 speed non eprom ecu
*mbc @ 14 psi
okay now im on a pretty tight budget so I am sticking with the 14b, my budget is around $1,000-1,500. here is what i am thinking about buying:
*full 3" exhaust (w/o cat)
*fmic w/ short route piping
*550cc injectors
*wally 255
*afpr
here is where i need help, I don't know what to do with the air intake. right now I am running the stock 1g maf, but I also have a 2g intake w/maf that i recently picked up from my brother but i have heard good things from people who go with a 3" gm maf and translator. please help me make more power :hellyeah:

Replace the stock maf with the 2g maf and turn up the boost. The 2g maf/550 setup with the wally will get you a safe 23lbs on a e316g.

With a 14b there is no need for a MAFT, you only need that if you are running a GM style MAF. Just swap in the 2g maf as the other member suggested and your good to go.
Be sure to keep your BOV recirculated though.

I'm going to need a piggy back system also correct?

2G mass air flow sensor in a 1G car works best with 550cc injectors. the two things damn near level out with one another almost perfect. EVERYONES gonna say"dsmlink", but ten years ago befor dsmlink exsisted the way you did this mod properly was as follows, 2nd gen maf in 1G car + 550cc's + Apexi SAFC

get a afc cheap used for like bucks off of somebody. it will compliment the updated air flow sensor and the one size larger fuel injectors very nicely

thank you. I know link is like a god to most dsmer's but im on a tight budget like most others but link would take up almost half my budget does anybody know how safe it is to run 18 psi on a 14b? mines in pretty good condition no cracks but has the tiniest shaft play.

Before you go boosting make sure you grab a tuning tool a wideband, cheap insurance. Take your time and do it right, grab one make sure you have enough fuel and a way to see whats going on with your engine. Then go from there 6 just my opionon from someone who has been down that road.

thanks i was planning on that after i get the rest of the parts. im storing the car in a garage for the winter so its going to be awhile before its driven. again though, a aem wideband is pretty expensive but i could get a used 1
