ECMlink GM MAF & MAP Sensor?

Whats up guys?

I've been out the game for a very long time (8 years) and I've recently bought back my old 92 Galant VR4.

I'm not sure why or if there is any benefit but the PO has a GM MAF and a MAP sensor hooked up. I know usually you can switch to speed density and eliminate the MAF all together.

My question is why have both? Is there any benefits to this?

With a standalone tuning system you can use a MAF to control the fuel and the MAP to control the timing. Running a MAF in blowthrough completely freddy fuzzpuckers it's ability to meter air as the manufacturer intended for it to do.
