well i seem to be making good progress for the moment but i am just about at a stand still on the engine. as it sits i can put the hole thing together and run with the ball for now but i am looking at a couple of minor upgrades. one of the guys i work with has a friend stationed at Kadina AFB. the last time they talked his friend was going to ship back an EVO3 turbo for my co-worker. so i talked to him and he is going to see what it would cost to pick up a pair of EVO3 cams and intake manifold for me. we see how that goes it, kind of sucks that i had all that stuff when i was stationed in Misawa. but i really had no idea i would be buying into more Mitsubishi's stateside so i got rid of all that stuff (i thought i would be a ford owner but had to cancel the mustang order when i got orders to Vegas not Phoenix). so any way i am going to hold of on finishing the re-assembly of the engine until i hear back on the parts.

still haven't gotten the stuff in the interior of the car taken care of yet, maybe sometime this week i will get to welding. so in the mean time i can do a few little things and start putting the interior back together, adding wiring for the EVO8 ECU and all that neat jazzy stuff. i also need to decide on if i want to change over my inter-cooler, right now i have a greddy FMIC but i am thinking i might switch it over to a small liquid/air unit mounted where the stock one went. i kind of like the idea of having it look stock until you open the hood.

no, not ford blue just Duplicolor high temp engine paint. i wanted to get a couple more cans of the VHT paint to do all the engine parts in so everything matched but after i finished the engine compartment Auto zone switched from the VHT to Duplicolor, so now nothing matches......

Gives it some good contrast,I think...how much bigger are the evo3 cams to the factories?thanks for any info!

not much of an upgrade from the factory 2G cars (252's i believe) but still better than the factory. it is the price that will make or brake the deal.
