Alright DSMtuners, still trying to get my 96 TSi going. Still not getting spark.
Car jumped time and we repaired it. Timing is spot on, new head gasket and head bolts also. Put everything back together according to torque specs and tried to start her up. No luck. Car turns over smoothly but not getting any spark. We can definitely smell fuel. Checked plugs, plug wires, coil pack/tested with another one, and replaced the power transistor. My guess would be the capacitors leaked in the ecu, when you try to start it the starter relay makes a buzzing sound sometimes and vibrates, the car wont start turning over when it does this, but it starts turning over on the second try or so. I've checked all fuses and all seem well. Everything seems to be connected properly.
I'm at a loss right now.
Sorry for this being such a story,
, I'm just trying to give every detail to get the answer.
