I am getting an eprom chip burned and I have a maft and afc do I need my afc? I allready have a honda kid who needs my afc and will buy it for 175 bucks. Also is there other places besides dsmchips that burn eproms.

I also cant get my middle trim to go lower han 120% how do I get it to go lower. This is right now wothout the chip.

Danny, I would keep the AFC. The only way I would sell it is if you plan on running DSMLink.

It's alot easier to tune with a SAFC than a MAFT IMHO but strictly speaking you don't have to have both.

There are various people out there that can make chips but a smaller circle of people that actually write their own ECU code rather than tweek the stock chip using tunerpro or following a cookbook they got off the internet.

I would have to say thats correct with the older MAFT. With the price of widebands today, If you have one the new MAFT g2 pretty much an install and go unit.

Edit: Have you checked out Yahoo Dsm-ECU group? It will get you on the right track of learning how to burn your own. Check this out if you havn't all ready. At the very least, it's worth the time for an education prospective!
