Gauges light

Where do you guys connect the boost gauge light wire? I have some autometers gauges, connected them to the car lighter wire and they dont shine bright at all, bearly can read them at night. I checked that wire with test light and there is only like 5V in there.

That is where I have mine connected. Might sound like a dumb question but have you tried adjusting the brightness of your dash lights. It is run off of those.

Yes I did - its all the way up. Shouldn't it be like 12V in car lighter wire?
