edmonton,
If I fill up my tank about 10 km after the low fuel light comes on, everythime I fill up it stops at 49.XX liters, I initially though the tank size was 50 liters, but as I now found out the fuel capacity is 15.8 gallown, which is 58 liters.

so with how much gas left does the low fuel light come on, Ive ran my car almost dry once and only still filled upto 50 liters, what would be making it think its full befor it is???

I guess that would help explain my 400km to the tank, with the extra 8 liters of gas ibet it would be over 500km.

thx

Yeh. What's all that in volume and distance?

Anyway, I don't think anyone's done the real test yet. The tank's supposed to be 16 (U.S., not Imperial) gallons, but I've yet to hear of anyone putting in more than 14. I don't know if the system will use its full capacity before sucking air. I keep meaning to load up a can and drive 'till empty some day, but I always wind up typing about it instead.

The gastank I have on my car is from my last car, a 90 tsi. that have anything todo with it.

My manual says 15.8 gallons. I've braved the low fuel light to about 14.9 IIRC, but was afraid to push it any further.

I'm actually scared of running dry and killing my fuel pump while I'm too poor to be able to afford a new one :(
