OK quick question. I'm going to be rebuilding my 2.4 Spyder gs engine here soon it started burning oil. Now my question is, what are some things I can do while i'm rebuilding it, to give my better better gas mileage? It's my DD so performance is not really a need. Thanks for the help! :hellyeah:

Without any kind of tuning or performance mods, there's really not much you can do. If your engine is worn out and low on compression you should notice a difference after the rebuild anyways. I'm sure you would change out the plugs and wires too which can help gas mileage.

Also, burning oil isn't a definite sign that the engine needs a rebuild. The problem could be simple as leaking valve stem seals.

Ok thanks for the advice guys just thought id ask if any little modifications would help at all before piecing it all back together.
Also i'm pretty sure its the rings. It was my first car and I ran her kinda hard and it had a nasty oil leak since day one. So I ran it close to dry a couple of times probably fried the rings.
