So I know e85 like takes like 33% more fuel but daily driving does anyone have some ruff estimates on mpg I should exspect? Or what kind of mpg you guys are getting on E85? Going to run 1000cc and evo3 16g.

22mpg highway with the 5 speed and about 18-19 mpg with the auto(both e85 and using the same engine/turbo setup). I think there is a little left in driving and tuning but not a whole lot.

That can go WAY down when I am dialing the car in.

So maybe we can touch up the numbers now. From seeing what exspected from everyones posts compared to piss pump gas, it does not seem like your going to loose alot "IF" you dial in that lead foot and and good tune.

Shoot my great grandpa used to pay that for pump gas, what happened to the economy?....No comment...

I'm only 34, and have pumped gas into a car i owned for less than $1 a gallon.

Hell, I'ma bit younger than that an have paid less then $0.70 a gallon for Pump gas before... .

I honestly thought that e85 cars got way worse gas milage. Fuel economy was my only reservation on going e85 all the time, but this makes me want to do the swap soon.

I'm 46, and don't want to talk about the lowest price I remember paying. :)

There are MANY factors that go into it, so it's really hard to nail down any hard rules about what to expect. The most important contributors IMO are your right foot and how patient you are at finding MBT at the points in the timing and AFR maps that you spend the most time at while cruising.

Other factors that can make a big difference are engine displacement (off-boost torque capability), cam overlap, drivetrain losses, ignition efficiency, altitude, and aerodynamics. I can see around 6-8 less mpg on a trip while driving into a 15-20 mph wind; in fact, I just noticed it this weekend on a 220 mile trip. I was averaging around 32 mpg while headed north with the wind (according to ECMLink), and about 26 on the way back south...but mileage dropped severely while driving around in town. FWIW, I still have slightly less than 1/4 tank of E85 left after the trip.

Im maybe getting 160 miles a tank about 12-13 mpg on a 1g with 1600 injectors 18g set at 26psi and thats mostly city driving. It sucks but it makes the car so much fun to drive and right now e-85 in chicago is only 2.80 which is way cheaper then 93.

I just told you, build an engine that makes some power and never has to see boost... the car weighed nothing. i daily drove it, it was my only car. No heat/no ac/ no wipers or wiper assembly/motor... the car weighed 2350 easy... it had 2 seats and a steering wheel.

car made 324awhp on the 14b at 27psi spiking 31 on the stock sidemount... 371 tq

This isnt news, its all in the 14b thread..

What I want to know is how long a 14B lasts spiking to 31psi and routinely seeing 27psi.

I thought I was pushing my luck @ 25psi last time I was on a 14B. :D

What was your airflow like?
