Turbo Compressor Housing 3 in TD06 + Wheel Garrett 60-1 | eBay

I've upgraded a td05h e316g with a 20g compressor wheel and cover before, that went well and it saw 28psi regularly for several thousand miles before I sold it - BUT - a 60-1 compressor wheel?!?! That just doesn't seem right...20g = 44lb/s min ISH....60-1 are what, 60? 65lbs/min? I know it says TD06...but it's refering to the compressor cover, which in the description says its machined to fit a TD05/TD06 shaft...and I'm guessing the cover fits on a TD05H turbo...I've asked the ebay seller to verify. Can anyone chime in on this? Seems kinda crazy if you ask me...

Looks like an fp red combo to me.

I am pretty sure thats what FP did, they mated a 60-1 compressor wheel with a td06h turbine. Machined a 20g mitsu housing to fit the wheel.

"To explain how much turbine flow is needed to support a 60-1 compressor, the old FP Red used a TD06H turbine clipped 15* in a machined factory 7cm turbine housing. " - Jus (jusmx141)

What exactly are you asking? the cover is a mitsu td06 cover, its used on 20g compressor wheel, and also machined to fit larger ones. Td05 refers to the turbine wheel. Mitsu turbos use td05 td06 turbine wheels. There are variations to it, but those are the main two (td05h td06 and the chinese td06sl2) So its really up to you to decide if you need a td06 or a td05 wheel. There is so much information on this forum about the turbine wheels, and compressor wheels mated with them.

yes it does fit the tdo5h, tdo6, tdo6h, tdo7, and tdo8 turbos. They all use a similar center section. The compressor housings are swapable and the bearings are swapable. The tdo7 and tdo8 appear to have a different style superback plate behind the compressor wheel. I am making 2 of these with tdo6h turbines. I have 2 fp greens that need compressor wheels, seems to be the only option besides making the fp green wheel taller.

60-1's are rated around 55 lb/min on most DSM bolt-on turbos. You're wasting your time if you're planning on mating this compressor to a TD05H turbine as you'll never see anywhere near that much airflow.

Should you end up using this you'll also need to have your center housing machined to accept the larger backplate of the 60-1 compressor.

yes it does fit the tdo5h, tdo6, tdo6h, tdo7, and tdo8 turbos.
TD07 and TD08 turbos have a larger shaft, so this compressor will not fit those turbos.

isnt the FP green wheel, at least the old one, is a 50-1 compressor?
A 50-1 compressor does not exist. The old-school Green uses a T04E50 compressor.

.

Is it still a tdo6h turbine shaft? I have a tdo7 tdo8 turbo, It looked the same and it took a mitsubishi rebuild kit, but it was knotchy because the super back plate wasnt the same in the 16g rebuild kit. I put the tdo7 superback plate in and it worked fine with the compressor wheel it came with.

I received a TD08 rebuild kit by mistake one time long ago and the journal bearings were huge- looked like they belonged in a BW S368 or something like that. No way those would fit a TD05H/06H shaft or housing.

Thats interesting. My turbo says tdo7-tdo8, it had a tdo6h shaft, and it took a 16g rebuild kit besides the backplate.
