I've had this weird strange that started to develop. It's literally making me sick. I'm on antibiotics as we speak LOL.

It's not a laughing matter really, but reading as I type it sounds pretty funny.

Anyway, I bought my carpet from a junkyard, it was wet and moldy. Now I washed and scrubbed the crap out of it with this high quality detergent from Home Depot. It smelled and looked brand new!

About 2 months later I noticed I'm leaking brake fluid from the clutch pedal...I have no time to fix it so I refill the master cylinder with more fluid as it becomes empty every 3 days. By now the fluid is absorbed into the carpet so I decided to take everything out and wash it again.

Took the carpet to the car wash and pressure washed it. Let it dry overnight and half the day. Put it back in and the next day it smells the same but not as strong.

What the heck can I do? I really don't want to spend 150 on a new carpet because that is giong towards my new radiator my brother broke! :p

lmk

I say replace the master cylinder or get it rebuilt (dunno id possible but probably) and then drop the $150 for new carpet. It'll make your car way cleaner. I'd say just put up with the smell for awhile until you have the $ to drop on some new carpet. That's if your current carpet isn't perfect and would need to be replaced eventually anyway. At least it's not something bad like B.O. or death haha.

Smells fading out, I sprayed some vanilla odor eater on it and used my foot to scrub it in.

I'm gonna look into the new master and slave, but can I get by just getting the master?
