Ok i have a 97 GSX, with DSMlink v2, 2.4 G4CS built motor, Precision 61p trim. Has IAC blockoff which means it also doesn't have the ISC motor. Also has 850cc FIC injectors.
I had the car tuned when i was back in michigan on 19psi and it was a pretty good tune, minus some things cut short and not sufficient enough time to tune it. Regardless, right now i stand with an OK idle, good cruise and OK pull, also either a blown/cracked or worn out MLS head gasket (car pushes coolant like no ones business but runs and cruises fine, just doesn't have pulling power which is fine untill i replace head gasket).
So for now i am just messing with the idle, which after reading many posts on here i have got it down to a pretty good idle minus two things:
1. for any random reason my LTFT lo & mid will not move from 12.5% I have tried adjusting global, deadtime, and MAF comp to no avail, if anyone could tell me why its doing that or tell me where i even get the LTFT readings from, that would make my day.
2. After sitting and idling at 14.5 - 15.3 AFR (with Autometer WB gauge) for a couple of minutes the O2 will stop cycling and the gauge pins down lean and the car wants to stall. Would this have anything to do with the LTFT or vise versa?
here is a current log: (i have MAF adjusted to help the car idle and keep a good AFR cause the car is my DD).
also please ignore the other 4 attached files as they are old tunes or logs not applicable to the situation im in now.
I also noticed today that when the o2 stops cycling at idle and my AFR gets pegged way too lean its when the car randomly goes into open loop while idling, sometimes it'll happen after idling for 10 seconds other times it takes 2 or 3 mins.
which leads me to another question of if anyone has an idea of why it might be doing that? (p.s. the whole time my LTFT's are at 12.5%)
thanks all!!
