DId anyone ever launch their fwd in second gear. Someone in know said he did it in his srt. He said he had to rev it really high to make up for the loss in gear reduction. He is slower of the line but quicker right after because there is hardly any wheel spin and the turbo stays at full boost from 0mph to about 60 when he shifts to 3rd.
I want to try this when i get my car back. someone tell me what they experienced.

My guess is that unless you have some preety decent power level your car is going to bog preety bad.

04-05 SRT's come equipped with LSD, so theres really no reason to try to launch in second gear.

Make sure you drop your clutch too I hear these trannys like that kind of stuff. </sarcasm>

Slower off the line is slower the whole way down the track. Drag racing is all about the launch, there is no "making it up". Just keep practicing and pay attention to what your car is telling you.

Yea that would REALLY help the life of your clutch! WTF
But it could help the life span of your tires on the up side! :thumb:

i wont try it. just hoped someone was dumb enough on here to try it and let me know how it went. LOL
