i searched threw most of the parts of th venders on here and the catbacks for FWD 1g's seem very slim any one have links to any of them for cheap?

Is money an issue? You may be better off taking it to a muffler shop and having them make a custom exhaust for you. usually it's a lot cheaper, make sure you opt for the stainless steel of that is an option

not really an issue. but id rather dump the money in my lightning then this thing but its to quite and needs to be faster.

a buddy of mine owns a minikie so i may just do a cheap ebay muffler and have him bend some pipes

is 3inch worth it over 2.5 inch?

It all depends on your personal preference (aka decibel level), your wallet, and what your goals are. Generally, if you're not looking to go over 300-350 whp then 2.5 inch piping should suit you just fine. After that, the 2.5 inch piping is a restriction for the exiting exhaust fumes.

i guess ill end up going 2.5" then... not really sure what im gunna do with this car yet. i have a lightning to bust peoples ass with. its already a money pit i dont need another one.

i would go custom.. there's a shop in my town that makes 'em with whatever muffler you supply for 225, im guessing it cant get much more expensive or cheaper where-ever you may be located. Thats the route im going!

I forgot to mention getting custom will be cheaper because installing it is included!

You also have to keep in mind what kind of bending techniques the shop will be using (mandrel or otherwise), what kind of piping (aka the type of metal) they will be using, what kind of piping (aka the type of metal) they offer, and what welding techniques they use (aka TIG welds or stitch welds).

All this is important if you expect your exhaust system to go through the four seasons (if your car is a daily driver). It also depends on how much you actually care how well or poorly the shop fabricates your custom piping. If you are going to a trusted exhaust shop, then there shouldn't be any problems.

And I am willing to bet that it's even cheaper if you do it yourself.

all mendrel bent piping. he uses really thick alumized steel piping very close to the stuff flowmaster uses. flowmaster is a lil bit thicker. what about a dual pass muffler? i thik im just gunna get a muffler off ebay
