I bought my car (1g/1990) with most of the a/c removed.. And I've since removed the engine, dash, harness, and everything in between to complete my wire tuck and shave/repaint the engine bay, build the block and head, etc etc..

My question is, if you remove the a/c evap coil (box) under the dash.. Will I still have heat?

I already removed the heater core and the a/c coil but I want to know when i reinstall.. Does the a/c coil need to go back in in order for the car to retain heat?

Thanks guys.:thumb:

Do you mean the evaporator core in the dash? You should be able to delete all parts of the a/c system with no effect to the heater portion of the hvac. You will need to retain the box the evap core resides in, so the fan can blow air through it still, and there are going to be a couple holes to block where the evap lines went in/out.
