I was wondering what a good fuel system upgrade would be? i was considering the walbro 255, but where i looked it appeared to be only for turbo (do N/A and turbo's have the same mounting brakets?) plus after the fuel pump, i'll need injectors and rail, correct? i'm not sure of which injectors, i have completely built motor, top to botom, plus i'll be runnin a hahn turbo system, with as high psi as i can. plus would u recomend running new fuel lines? And i saw the new fuel upgrade that hahn came out with, the new 8 injector manifold, i was wondering if there was a write up on how to do this? Reason being is that I have an after market manifold. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would get a Walbro 225lph fuel pump. Just buy one from extremepsi.com. They are like $99 shipped. It fit in mine. Some people have said that you have to mod the bracket a tad ( not hard from what I have heard ) but I made mine fit without modifying.

You dont need and aftermarket fuel rail unless you just want it to be pretty. The stocker will be just fine.

As long as your aftermarket manifold has the same flange pattern as the stock manifold where it meets the head, you should be able to use HRC's new Portfueler setup. Its basically a flange that you sandwich between the head and your lower intake manifold. It has ports that mount 4 additional injectors. Then you obviously have to have their xtra injector controller software and other tidbits that go along with the setup. From what I have seen it seems to be a good setup. Just wait a bit longer till its released to the public.

I am sorry, I meant that extremepsi is a good place to get a Walbro 255lph pump. The fuel system that you showed is for the GST/GSX and the injectors will not work without doing the resistor mod.

Plus the AFC is not generally well accepted as a tuning device on our cars. It can be used, but only for VERY FINE tuning otherwise will alter our MAP sensor voltage and can cause timing to be advanced too much.

Look at these options for fueling:

Larger injectors for our cars NOT the 4g63 GST/GSX.
Vortech SFMU adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

OR ( for more tunability )

This is what I have

OR

Use HRC's new Portfueler setup.

Alright, why the in Gods name do you want to drown your engine out with so much fuel, it won't ever rev past 2000rpms. You'll be dumping so much fuel into your engine, it'll hydrolock. Lets put this into perspective. You want the right mixture of air and fuel to get the most power out of your engine. Stoich mixture is relatively 14.7:1 (air mass to fuel mass). That will produce relatively the best horsepower.

Say you wanted to add a 255LPH, larger injectors, more injectors, a SAFC maxed out, a high fuel rail pressure or any of the above in any combination. You are changing your air fuel ratio to something more like 14.7:3.4. Instant horsepower loss. You'd need to add 2 times the air into your engine in order to get back up to stoich.

Cliffs Notes: Only upgrade your fuel system if you add a supercharger, turbo or blower.

Just a quick question. did u even read my first post? this whole post was to find out what kind of fuel set up i might need on a TURBO charged 420a, in my orriginal post i mentioned that i have a hahn turbo, and plus this is in the turbo forum. Anyways Green95hrcgs: that box, did u make it or did u buy it? that first link doesn't connect.

My apologies. I was wrong.

Secondly, I though Hahn supplied all the fuel mods needed for the kit? Why go overboard? Or do they not?

cool, i didn't mean to come off as such an ass. any ways yeah, hahn does have there new fuel systems, designed for this, but i have a big aftermarket intake manifold, which can't fit the sandwich peice inbetween, so i'll need to make it my self.

does any one know how to install a apexi safc on a 2g 97 nonturbo eclipse...i am having problem finding a diagram for this installation

Question on chossing the injectors off this site? i put in 500hp on the equation, thats from my engione and turbo, if i'm gona run a nitous wet shot, would i need to take that in to consideration when calculating injector size? I was thinking no, sice its a wet system that it will supply the extra fuel needed. oh and on the site i calculated it out, i'll need 533cc is that cylender or injector? If injectors would u recomend buying those size or pretty close, or buy smaller injectors with higher differential pressure?
