Fuel Pump whine

So i just did the fuel pump rewiring on my stock pump and now it whines louder than before. I'm just wondering if thats a good thing or a bad thing. I know the walboro pumps are louder than stock but im not sure if it means im getting more energy to the pump now or less, i would think its more since its louder. I only used 12g wire from the battery because its all i had around, it should definatly be better than the stock wiring though.

I recently did my re-wire using the stock pump and it did get louder, but i wouldn't say it was considerably louder than before.

well when i did mine it got quieter so im not sure whats going on and when i put my walbro 255 it got louder than before

The pump is getting more voltage and working harder at all times. Getting louder is normal.

ok i thought that would be the case of getting more voltage thus working harder and louder. however i think its weird that the one guys fuel pump got quieter.
