Fuel pump rewire causing odd things

So I just successfully completed my pump rewire following the 1g awd vfaq to the letter, the rewire itself went great and did the job but now I'm having some odd things happen: First, every time I turn my car off, the stereo resets as if I disconnected the battery (eq, presets, clock etc.) and my Turbo timer no longer keeps the car on after I turn the key off. Second, I noticed that when I turn the key off, everything turns off instantly instead of staying on for a few seconds like before. I'm completely stumped on what the hell could cause this.. Again, I followed the vfaq to the letter and didn't touch any wiring other than the fuel pump. Anybody have some ideas to why this is happening?

Where did you tap. Forget the vfaq for now. Tell us what you did.

I ran a 10 AWG wire from the positive battery terminal (20amp fuse inline) to pin 30 on the relay, black/white wire from pump to pin 87, black/white wire from car to pin 86, chassis ground to pin 85. Although it shouldn't matter, I used a 4 pin normally OPEN relay instead of the 5 pin relay since the normally closed 87a isn't used anyway. That's all I did; I think I might go back and make sure I didn't bump the turbo timer wires or anything

Sounds like you likely bumped something. The wiring should be better than that though. Did you install the timer? Is it hardwired or does it use a harness? If you unplugged the battery and I assume you did you will reset the turbo timer. Almost sounds like your turbo timer is wired incorrectly in with the stereo also. You'll need to double check. Fuel pump wiring sounds correct to me.

Nope, I bought the car with the timer already installed; luckily the wiring is pretty easy to get to for the most part. I'll have to poke around and see if it's hardwired or not. What puzzles me though, is how things turn off immediately now.. Oh, and I did turn the turbo timer back on and set it for 2:00 but it turns off as soon as I turn the key off, along with the stereo.

BTW when I talk about the stereo staying on, that has to do with the car's capacitor that keeps accessories energized, not like a setting on the stereo itself or anything.

Well, I just took notice and both the stereo and Turbo timer go dead when I turn the key to acc. So I'm guessing the acc wire got disconnected somehow..

EDIT: Just took my kick panel off, and upon inspection I found *one of* the timer side green wires not connected to anything, and a harness/car side white wire also not connected to anything. From what I've been able to search, the green wire(s) is ign ON, and the plug-n-play harness is ALL white wires.. So I'm a bit unsure about putting these two together to see what happens.
